Ibiza in October – 5 reasons why you should travel to the island in the off-season!

Ibiza in oktober - 5 redenen waarom je in het laagseizoen naar het eiland zou moeten reizen!

Ibiza in low season

When we think of Ibiza, the first things that come to mind are dreamy beaches, deep blue sea and, above all, lots of partying. Of course, the Balearic island is famous for exactly these things. But what does it all look like in October? Should I fear that the dog is buried everywhere and that the weather is not really better than in Germany? Absolutely not! Because right now the coolest beach bar closing parties are taking place, all accommodation is significantly cheaper and best of all – there are far fewer tourists.

So whether it’s the wonderfully warm weather, the great deals or even the exciting events – find out for yourself with our insider tips in this blog post!

1. Pleasant climate and the ideal accommodation in Ibiza

Ibiza Nebensaison OneVillasIbiza

The Comfort Weather Index classifies Ibiza as an exceptionally pleasant destination in autumn. With mild temperatures up to 27 degrees at its peak, the Balearic island still offers its visitors cozy temperatures, even when we in Germany and Austria already have to slowly turn up the heating. During the day you can soak up the sun on the beach, get a tan and stroll the boardwalks in short clothes. By evening, you are well equipped with a thin jacket or long sleeves. Ibiza is the perfect place to stock up on warmth, vitamin D and good humor for the coming winter!

But since the nights are already getting chilly, it is best to consider a heated house when choosing your accommodation in Ibiza. That way, even during colder nights, you can sit nice and warm and enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

We have made a small selection of the 8 best villas that will make you feel summery even in winter!

2. Carefree enjoyment of nature in Ibiza

Ibiza Nebensaison OneVillasIbiza 2

Finally enjoy all the views, relax on the beach or take a boat ride – all without having to stand in line for a long time, get annoyed by the limited space on the beach or just without having to book everything far in advance.

We were particularly charmed by the beach bars around Aguas Blancas in the northeastern part of the island. In our opinion, this is an absolute insider tip, as many locals also call this place their favorite.

The Ses Salines and Es Vedrá natural parks are also slightly less crowded, but that doesn’t make the views and hiking trails any less impressive, quite the contrary! So enjoy the tranquility with your loved ones and explore the beautiful nature of the island!

If you also plan to take a sailboat out to sea, you will especially enjoy October. The crystal clear water remains, only the number of excursionists is significantly lower! And the best part is – all vacation photos naturally become much more beautiful without crowds of people in front of the lens! 😉

3. Exciting events in Ibiza

Closing parties of clubs in Ibiza

As described above, there are many closing parties in October in all Clubs and Beach Clubs in Ibiza. We at Team One Villas Ibiza can say with certainty that these are often much better than the opening parties! All clubs go to great lengths to give their visitors a phenomenal farewell that no one will soon forget. So don’t miss these events! To make sure that does not happen to you, we have compiled a small list of the best slot parties in October: For more information on the various Closing Parties, check out the Ibiza Spotlight website.

Beach Club Closing parties and other highlights in Ibiza

The closing parties of the island’s beach clubs are also very famous. Especially worth mentioning are the parties at El Chiringuito Ibiza, Beach House Ibiza and Amante Ibiza, because every time they put on a spectacular show that will surely make your evening unforgettable!

Another thing we don’t want to keep from you is Lio’ s Halloween party on Oct. 31, which has always delighted us.

Enjoy the last warm days of the year one more time, party hard and just have a great time with good music and great friends.
We’re sure you’ll want to come back next year! 🙂

4. Ibiza’s primitive life and hippy markets

Ibiza would not be Ibiza without its famous hippie markets. On no other island in the Balearic Islands can you feel the spirit of the 1960s as much as here. However, many vacationers want to experience this unique atmosphere, which is why the markets are often very crowded during the high season. Therefore, you are lucky if you arrive in late September or early October – real summer feeling and finally enough time and space to browse.

However, it’s not just Ibiza’s hippy markets that invite you to wander around – traditional markets with handicrafts, jewelry or even homemade fashion can be found all over the island. Definitely a special shopping experience! The biggest markets on the island include Ibiza’s largest hippie market, Punta Arabí in Es Canar, which is open every Wednesday in October from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Also very well known is the Cala Llonga market in Santa Eulária, which offers its visitors a variety of clothing from local manufacturers, accessories and silver jewelry. In October, this market is always open from 6 p.m. to midnight. But culturally rich villages such as San Carlos or San Juan de Labritja, which are often crowded in high season, are also particularly beautiful in October. Both villages offer their visitors colorful markets and hippie markets. In San Carlos, they are always open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and in San Juan de Labritja on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. A special highlight in San Juan de Labritja: starting at noon, you can listen to beautiful live music. So be sure to visit these markets and villages during your stay in Ibiza!

5. The best restaurants in Ibiza

Finally being able to go spontaneously to a restaurant without having to wait long – that’s what Ibiza offers you in the off-season.

Despite the declining number of visitors, most restaurants are also open in the off-season, as they are still crowded by locals and others. This also makes it possible to establish closer contact with restaurant owners and staff and enjoy late-night stays at one restaurant or another.

We’ve compiled a small list of our 10 favorites that are open continuously in both high season and low season. Despite declining attendance, we recommend making reservations in advance so you can enjoy your restaurant visit worry-free. No matter where you are in Ibiza, we have selected a special recommendation for you for each part of the island.
