San Antonio

Cafe del Mar, and sunsets. That’s what San Antoni is known for. And, of course, the lively nightlife. Now we do have to say: not the whole city is equally attractive. We also do not rent houses close to the city, as it is very touristy and often crowded. If you love that, of course, it’s a top spot. There are a huge number of bars, 2 big nightclubs, Es Paradis and Eden, but also Ibiza Rocks with live music is located in this town. The Sunset strip is probably the most popular spot in town, with live DJs, bars and stunning views of the sea, islets and harbor. But the Sunset Strip is not the only place in the city to eat and drink with stunning views. The boardwalk in the bay also has a selection of bars and restaurants. Favorites include Itaca, Ibiza Rocks Bar, Orange corner, Tulip, Linekers, and Plastik Bar for some dancing, and finally there is the upscale Ocean Beach. All offer something different: whether you’re looking for a relaxing chill-out space, or a pre-club spot, you can find it here.

The port of San Antonio

San Antoni harbor is full of boats that can take you on a tour to deserted coves in the north of the island. In winter, you can even kitesurf in the harbor if there is a punishing north wind.

The environment

If you are looking for a relaxing place outside the city but still not far away, Cala Salada is a very nice place. You will enjoy the same sundowners as in town, with an even better view because you are higher up the mountain. But without the big crowds and a little more private atmosphere. And the distance to other places is also a lot less than one often thinks at first. Ibiza town is only a 25-minute drive away. So you are there faster than many a coastal town on the West Coast. San Rafael, with some great clubs like The Privilege and Amnesia are only a 15-minute drive away. Or by cab 15-25 euros.

Summary

In summary, we can say that San Antoni has its nice, and not so nice sides. If you are looking for peace and quiet, we recommend staying not in the city, but outside it. This is quite possible! If you do seek crowds and have a slightly smaller budget, San Antoni is sure to offer many options. We unfortunately cannot offer that, but providers abound!
