Cenit Pool Bar
Menu: breakfast-lunch-dinner cafe
For years, you could lie on the beds around the pool of the gay-friendly hotel Cenit on a sunny day. But that the accompanying bar would emerge as a great modern restaurant like this, no one ever imagined.
For nearly 20 years, German Martin ran the bar in a cocky, sometimes irritating way. With lots of rules and if you didn’t follow them he yelled from the bar across the pool area.
So the new manager Guillermo wanted to turn it into something completely different. He opened “Cenit Pool Bar” on April 30, 2016. After a rigorous renovation, all the frumpy decoration disappeared, creating an industrial yet chic-looking joint. The view of the bay of Figueretas and Playa den Bossa was always super, but making a glass wall on the terrace made the view even more spectacular.
And then the menu card …. where Martin only served sandwiches, pizza and spaghetti bolognese from an old-fashioned counter, you can now eat delicious meat and fish dishes there, facing all the hustle and bustle of the modern open kitchen.
In addition to a nice breakfast menu and fantastic smoothies, you can also have a good lunch there. Sandwiches from 12.50 to 19.50, salads from 14.50 and pasta dishes from 14.50 to 22 euros. Maincourses start from 17 euros to 22.50 with the only outlier being the Parrillada de Pescado of 57.50 euros for two people.
You can park for free in the Cenit neighborhood, provided you put a piece of paper under your windshield every two hours with the time written on it. If you are not a hotel guest and you use the beds around the pool, there is a minimum expenditure of 30 euros per person.
Cenit Pool Bar is open from late April through mid-October.
