There are a few museums in Ibiza. But, of course, you can also find a lot of art in the streets. Murals, graffiti, even a window or door of a small store becomes the canvas for an Ibiza artist. Today we want to tell you about our tour of the island, featuring our favorite murals and graffiti. Do you already have a nice rental car?
Ibiza City:
Park your car at the end of Avenida España, near McDonalds or Lidl and walk to the Can Misses traffic circle. You pass the police station and the office of Dario de Ibiza. Near the soccer field and a school, you will see a lot of graffiti.

Tunnel near the old town:
Ca Na Negreta:
Back to the car, we take the road to Santa Eularia. A favorite mural for a nice selfie is located after Ca Na Negreta on your right.
Nagai Restaurant:
On the road to Santa Eularia take the exit to San Joan and before Sant Llorenc de Balafia you will see Restaurant Nagai on your left.

Portinatx:
On the road to San Joan, we take the exit to Portinatx. A little above Portinatx on the road to Cala d’en Serra you pass a small cove Es Portitxol and there you will find Hotel and Restaurant Los Enamorados.
Cala d’en Serra:
Down on the beach of Cala d’en Serra you will find a hotel, never finished, with lots of graffiti.

From San Carlos, we take the road south to San Antonio. This city has many great murals!

Sant Josep:
And now the last venue of our tour, which was the highlight of our day: Club Festival. It’s hard to find, but we just put the location “Club Festival” in our Google Maps and the navigation system told us exactly where to drive.
Rob Smith’s book “Secret Walks South” found the following intriguing text: “In 1969, construction began on the Festival Club, a large outdoor music center in the wooded hills east of Sant Josep. It opened in 1972, but it was destined to fail because in 1973 due to the fuel crisis with high airfares, tourism on the island took a temporary dive. For thirty years, Festival Club has almost been taken back by nature: the roots of the trees grow right through what used to be a small amphitheater. It is a terrifying place, decorated with decades of graffiti making it look like an outdoor gallery dedicated to street arts “.
The first thing we saw were arches and lots of graffiti art. From the arches we could see the rolling hills and an overgrown amphitheater. Once the place where performance art and even bullfights had taken place, with several bars and a restaurant with rows of concrete tables.
The venue closed in 1974 after only two seasons and will probably never reopen.
Vandals have destroyed some of the infrastructure, but most of the structural damage is done by nature. Pine trees grow through the concrete and their roots slowly tear apart the amphitheater.
