Cala Carbo
Cala Carbo is located in the southwestern part of Ibiza. It is not really a town, more like a beautiful, sheltered bay with a beach, a few small restaurants and a parking lot. You get there by turning off on the road that leads from San Jose to Cala Vadella, and following this narrow road to the coast. This is one of the beaches in Ibiza that is not very well known to tourists, so you can often enjoy the sun and sea here in peace and quiet! Since the parking lot is not large, it is wise to find a spot early during peak season, especially on weekends.
Beautiful Family Beach
Cala Carbo is a good place to spend time with the family, the same as San Salinas, as the clear water is very shallow at the beach and there are wonderful rocks for the children to clamber over. Snorkeling, and fishing from the small jetty, are also popular pastimes here, for locals and tourists alike. The beach is small, but there are lounge chairs for rent if you are looking for something more than just your towel to sunbathe on. The sheltered location of the beach means that it is pleasant in temperature even in spring and autumn.

One of the pluses of Cala Carbo is the presence of two excellent eateries, which are also very popular with locals, especially on Sundays, so reservations are recommended on weekends. At the traditional Chiringuito Playa Cala Carbo you will enjoy traditional dishes such as Bullit de Peix (stewed fish dish) or Paella, while at the recently opened hip La Sardina Loca (The Crazy Sardine) just inland, the sardines are definitely not crazy! The smell of the delicious food simply lures you away from the beach at some point.
