Mercado Cala Llenya

The hippie market of Cala llenya is perhaps one of the nicest markets on the island, due to its popularity with the true hippies. In terms of products, it is sort of a mix of the flea market of San Jordi and the commercial hippie market of Punta Arabi and is well combined with a morning swimming or sunbathing on the beautiful beach of Cala Llenya. But best of all, it’s all about food at the eponymous restaurant and live performances. Sometimes cover bands, or rock bands, but also often gipsy music, with visitors spontaneously dancing flamenco.

This market is held every Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Check through Mercado Cala Llenya’s Facebook page to see who is performing, but usually mini-concerts start around 12:30 p.m.
