Punta Arabi hippie market
Relive the ’70s at Ibiza’s largest hippie market: Punta Arabi. Founded in 1973 by Ibizan artists and hippies, this hippie market takes place every Wednesday in high season in Es Canar, just past Santa Eularia. An average of 13,000 people from all over the island travel to this colorful hippie market every week. With the 400 to 500 stalls you can find there, you won’t be bored easily. Stroll among the stalls and pine trees, enjoy live music, living statues and hot snacks. You’ll feel like a kid in a candy store among the beautiful jewelry, artwork, handmade leather goods and colorful clothing. Besides authentic products, this market unfortunately offers many mass-produced, “made in China” products.
Punta Arabi is good to combine with half a day on the beach at Cala Mastella, Cala Llenya or Cala Nova or delicious lunch at Atzaro Beach, Aiyanna or a daily menu of freshly caught fish at El Bigote.
